So handy...
This item came in so handy! We loved almost everything about it except we wished that the handle was a bit longer in the sense that it wouldn't always be as smooth of wrapping something up as we wanted.
Other than that, it was an awesome tool to have because with just a little bit of foam over something breakable like a mirror, you could make sure the foam would stay in place and nothing got broken in this move! Or we would use it to go around the dresser; so the drawers wouldn't open up during the move; as these drawers were very time consuming and hard to take out; we decided to leave them in and just use the wrap around it all. Or when there was a box without a top to it, we just wrapped it and everything just stayed in place! Loved this product!
Over the years I have come to know Stretch Wrap as a shipping department item. Then came retirement, and packing, and moving. Now I find stretch wrap to be as handy as packaging tape, without the sticky residue. The 20 inch wide roll is great for containing stacks of small packages being prepared to move, and equally useful in providing dust-proof protection for larger items. It is easy to use and suitable for more household applications than I ever imagined.
Quality wrap, and a good value for smaller items.
This stretch wrap is clear and it's nicely stretchy, just like the bigger “name” brands. Thickness seems about right for the job size implied by the width.
As part of my ongoing project to prepare household items for storage, I’d been cutting down a much wider roll to use on the smaller items. Unfortunately, that was really messy, and I ended up discarding at least as much as I was able to use. These five-inch rolls solved that problem completely.
The handles do help, but possibly are the weakest link in this kit. Because of that, I’d like to rate the kit 4.5 stars, but that’s not possible, so five stars in the end.
Easy to use, holds well
I didn't have anything I needed to wrap up so I used it on my coworkers chair. It wrapped it up very nicely. she had to cut her way through it when she came back to her office. I had a bit of a problem getting the start of the film pealed up but once I had the end it worked smoothly. It stuck to itself and the chair very nicely just like this type of film is supposed to do. I was able to pull it tight and it stretched just enough to make it stay in place. It is not the thickest wrap but I believe it is the thickness given in the add. Also the two little rollers worked well. One was a bit small for the roll so it fell out when I wasn't holding it. That was kind of annoying but it would be easy enough to jam a piece of paper or thin cardboard along side of it to make it stay in the end of the roll. I think this stuff is really nice and it is priced very similar to others.
plastic wrap for stuff
I bought this to cover my co-workers desk in plastic wrap.
The handle made it a lot easier than using food wrap - but it still was a tedious process wrapping each item on his desk, and then wrapping all of those individually wrapped items together. I thought my bosses would get mad because of all of the time I wasted doing it - but they were excited, and even pitched in wrapping some of the stuff on my coworkers desk and talked about their days living in a frat house.
I'd buy this again if I was moving - but if I am going to wrap the crap on a co-workers desk again... I would use plastic that is a little wider.
Shrink wrap value
The quality and value of the shrink wrap is a good one. I use this to wrap up my products that I sell part time.
On average shrink wrap is kind of expensive if you are not a big company or generating a lot of income to support shipping supplies, so this is good for the everyday average user like myself for small sales and protecting your items for shipping.
